KJV (66 books) +3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

AFINT (Exp US) +1 For we who have exercised faith enter that rest, just as He has stated, “Just as I swore in My anger, ‘They will absolutely not enter My rest,’ ” though His works reached completion from the world’s foundation.

AFINT (Lit US) +1 For we who have believed enter that rest, just as He has said, “As I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest,’ ” although His works were finished from the foundation of the world.

ASV For we who have believed do enter into that rest; even as he hath said, As I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

BSB +1 Now we who have believed enter that rest. As for the others, it is just as God has said: “So I swore on oath in My anger, ‘They shall never enter My rest.’” And yet His works have been finished since the foundation of the world.

DRA For we, who have believed, shall enter into rest; as he said: As I have sworn in my wrath; If they shall enter into my rest; and this indeed when the works from the foundation of the world were finished.

EMTV For we who have believed enter that rest, as He has said: “So I swore in My wrath, they shall not enter My rest,” Although His works were finished from the foundation of the world.

FBV However, those of us who trust in God have entered into that rest God mentioned when he said, “In my frustration I vowed, ‘They shall not enter my rest.’” (This is so even though God's plans were already complete when he created the world.)

GNV For we which haue beleeued, doe enter into rest, as he said to the other, As I haue sworne in my wrath, If they shall enter into my rest: although the workes were finished from the foundation of the world.

LSV for we enter into the rest—we who believed, as He said, “So I swore in My anger, They will [not] enter into My rest”; and yet the works were done from the foundation of the world,

NASB For we who have believed enter that rest, just as He has said, “As I swore in My anger, They certainly shall not enter My rest,” although His works were finished from the foundation of the world. NASB 2020

NIV (US) +1 Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, “So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’ ” And yet his works have been finished since the creation of the world.

OJB For we ma'aminim enter into that menuchah, just as Hashem has said, ASHER NISHBA'TI V'API IM YEVO'UN EL MENUCHATI (As I vowed in My fury, they shall never enter into My rest), although the ma'asim (works) of Hashem were finished from the hivvased tevel (foundation of the world).

RV For we which have believed do enter into that rest; even as he hath said, As I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

TCENT For we who have believed enter that rest. As for the others, God has said, “As I swore in my wrath, ‘They shall never enter my rest!’ ” Now God's works have been finished from the foundation of the world.

T4T We who have believed in Christ are able to enter the place of resting eternally. We know there is a place where we will rest eternally because God said, Because I was angry with them, I solemnly declared, “They will not enter the land where I would let them rest.” God said that even though he ceased his work of creating things after he created the world.

WEB (US) +7 For we who have believed do enter into that rest, even as he has said, “As I swore in my wrath, they will not enter into my rest;” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
