KJV (66 books) +2 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

AFINT (Exp US) +1 Now to the person who works and earns wages, the payment is not credited as a gracious gift, but rather as an obligation owed—something deserved and earned.

AFINT (Lit US) +1 Now to the one who works, his wages are not credited as a gift, but as an obligation.

ASV +1 Now to him that worketh, the reward is not reckoned as of grace, but as of debt.

BSB +1 Now the wages of the worker are not credited as a gift, but as an obligation.

DRA Now to him that worketh, the reward is not reckoned according to grace, but according to debt.

EMTV Now to him who works, his wage is not credited as a gift, but as his due.

GNV Nowe to him that worketh, the wages is not counted by fauour, but by dette:

LSV and to him who is working, the reward is not reckoned of grace, but of debt;

NASB Now to the one who works, the wages are not credited as a favor, but as what is due. NASB 2020

NIV (US) +1 Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation.

NMV Now to him that works is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

OJB Now to him who works, the loin (wages, batzalon [remuneration]) is not credited to oneʼs account as a favor or gift of chesed but as a choiv (debt).

TCENT Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift, but as something owed to him.

T4T If we receive wages for work that we do, those wages are not considered to be a gift. Instead, they are considered to be what we have earned. Similarly, if God erases the record of our sins because we did things to earn God’s favor, we would not consider that God’s erasing the record of our sin was a gift. Instead, we would consider it as what we had earned.

WEB (US) +7 Now to him who works, the reward is not counted as grace, but as something owed.
