Luther Dieweil wir denn wissen, daß der HERR zu fürchten ist, fahren wir schön mit den Leuten; aber Gott sind wir offenbar. Ich hoffe aber, daß wir auch in eurem Gewissen offenbar sind.

ELO (modernisiert) Da wir nun den Schrecken des Herrn kennen, so überreden wir die Menschen, Gott aber sind wir offenbar geworden; ich hoffe aber auch in euren Gewissen offenbar geworden zu sein.
