BKR Neboť my se neodvažujeme přimísiti aneb přirovnati k některým, kteříž sami sebe chválí. Ale ti nerozumějí, že sami sebou sebe měří a přirovnávají sebe sobě.

SNC V žádném případě se nechci měřit s těmi oslňujícími kazateli, kteří ve svých projevech vychvalují sami sebe. Těm se samozřejmě nemohu vyrovnat, protože oni jsou sami sobě jediným měřítkem a vzorem vší dokonalosti. Jaká pošetilost!

SŻ Nie chcemy porównywać się z tymi, którzy zachwalają samych siebie. Porównują się sami ze sobą i w podobny sposób oceniają innych, nie rozumieją jednak tego, co robią.
