KJV (66 books) +3 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

AFINT (Exp US) So then, to summarize the comparison: just as through one trespass—Adam’s sin—the result of condemnation came upon all humanity, so also through one act of righteousness—Christ’s obedient life and death—the gift of justification that brings life came to all who believe.

AFINT (Exp UK) So then, to summarise the comparison: just as through one trespass—Adam’s sin—the result of condemnation came upon all humanity, so also through one act of righteousness—Christ’s obedient life and death—the gift of justification that brings life came to all who believe.

AFINT (Lit US) +1 So then, as through one trespass, condemnation came to all men, so also through one act of righteousness, justification of life came to all men.

ASV +1 So then as through one trespass the judgment came unto all men to condemnation; even so through one act of righteousness the free gift came unto all men to justification of life.

BSB So then, just as one trespass brought condemnation for all men, so also one act of righteousness brought justification and life for all men.

DRA Therefore, as by the offence of one, unto all men to condemnation; so also by the justice of one, unto all men to justification of life.

EMTV So then, as through one man's transgression judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.

FBV Just as one sin brought condemnation on everyone, in the same way one right act gave everyone the opportunity to live right.

GNV Likewise then as by the offence of one, the fault came on all men to condemnation, so by the iustifying of one, the benefite abounded toward all men to the iustification of life.

LSV So, then, as through one offense to all men [it is] to condemnation, so also through one declaration of “Righteous” [it is] to all men to justification of life;

NIV (US) +1 Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people.

OJB So, then, as through one Averah (transgression) [of Adam] to kol Bnei Adam to harsha'ah (condemnation as guilty), so also through one Mitzvah (righteous or worthy deed) [of Moshiach] to kol Bnei Adam to justification unto Chayei [Olam].

TCENT So then, just as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men.

T4T So, because one man, Adam, disobeyed God’s law, that resulted in all people deserving to be punished {that God punish them}. Similarly, because one man, Jesus, acted righteously by obeying God when he died, the result was that God is able to erase the record of all people’s sins and enable them to live eternally.

WEB (US) +7 So then as through one trespass, all men were condemned; even so through one act of righteousness, all men were justified to life.
