Господь обещал нашим предкам дать нам эту землю, но из-за этих людей Бог заставил народ скитаться в пустыне сорок лет, чтобы все, способные воевать, умерли, и сыновья заняли их место. Но никому из юношей, родившихся в пустыне на пути из Египта, не было сделано обрезание. Поэтому Иисус и сделал им обрезание.
