But fornication, impurity of any kind, and covetousness must not even be mentioned among you, because such things are improper for saints. 1Co 6:15Nor should there be any obscenity, foolish talk, or coarse joking, which are not fitting, but there should be thanksgiving instead. Mat 12:36; Eph 4:29For you 5:5 know ¦ know with certainty CT PCKknow that no one who is a fornicator, impure, or covetous (that is, an idolater) has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.1Co 6:10

Walk as Children of Light

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience. Mat 24:4; Mrk 13:5; Luk 21:8; 2Th 2:3Therefore do not be partners with them. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light Jhn 8:12; Jhn 12:36(for the fruit of the 5:9 Spirit 93.9% ¦ light CT 5.4%Spirit is found in all goodness, righteousness, and truth). Gal 5:22Carefully determine what is pleasing to the Lord. Do not participate in the unfruitful works of darkness, but expose them instead. 2Co 6:14; 1Ti 5:20For it is shameful even to mention what such people do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes illuminated, and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. Jhn 3:20Therefore it says,

“Awake, O sleeper,

and arise from the dead,

and Christ will shine upon yoʋ.”Rom 6:4

5:15 See then that you walk carefully ¦ Look carefully then how you walk CTSee then that you walk carefully, not as unwise people but as wise, Col 4:5making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Rom 12:2; 1Th 4:3Do not be drunk with wine, which leads to debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, Luk 21:34speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your hearts to the Lord, Col 3:16always giving thanks for everything to our God and Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Col 3:17; 1Th 5:18and submitting to one another in the fear of 5:21 God 𝔐22 ¦ Christ 𝔐7 ANT CT RPGod.

Wives and Husbands

5:22 Wives, submit to your 84.7% • NA SBL WH 0.3% ¦ Wives must submit to their TH 8.5%Wives, submit to your husbands, as to the Lord. Col 3:18; Tit 2:5For the husband is the head of the wife, just as Christ is the head and Savior of the church, which is his body. 1Co 11:3; Eph 1:22Just as the church submits to Christ, so wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her Gal 1:4; Col 3:19to sanctify her by cleansing her with the washing of water by the word, 1Pe 3:21; Tit 3:5; Heb 9:14so that he might present 5:27 her to himself as a glorious church ¦ the church to himself as glorious CTher to himself as a glorious church, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but holy and unblemished. 2Co 11:2; Eph 1:4In the same way husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one has ever hated his own flesh, but he nourishes and cares for it, just as 5:29 the Lord ¦ Christ CTthe Lord does for the church, because we are members of his 5:30 body, of his flesh and of his bones. 91.7% ¦ body. CT 2.5%body, of his flesh and of his bones. “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” Mat 19:5; Mrk 10:7; 1Co 6:16This is a profound mystery, but I am talking about Christ and the church. Nevertheless, each man among you must love his own wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
