The Changeless Christ

Let love of the brothers and sisters continue. Do not neglect hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it. Gen 18:3; Gen 19:2; Mat 25:35; Rom 12:13Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are badly treated, since you yourselves also are in the body. Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. 1Co 6:15Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever abandon you,” Jos 1:5; Gen 28:15; Mat 6:34so that we confidently say,

“The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid.

What will man do to me?”Psa 118:6

Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the 13:7 Or end of their liferesult of their way of life, imitate their faith. 1Th 5:12Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever. 1Co 3:11; Rev 1:4Do not be misled by varied and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, through which those who 13:9 Lit walkedwere so occupied were not benefited. Jhn 6:27; Eph 4:14We have an altar from which those who serve the 13:10 Or sacred tenttabernacle have no right to eat. 1Co 9:13For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the Holy Place by the high priest as an offering for sin are burned outside the camp. Lev 16:27Therefore Jesus also suffered outside the gate, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood. Mat 21:39; Mat 27:33; Rev 1:5So then, let us go out to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach. 1Pe 4:14; Heb 11:26; Heb 12:2For here we do not have a lasting city, but we are seeking the city which is to come.Php 3:20; Heb 12:22

God-pleasing Sacrifices

Through Him then, let’s continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips praising His name. Psa 50:14; Psa 51:17; Hos 14:2And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.2Co 9:12; Php 4:18

Obey your leaders and submit to them—for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account—so that they may do this with joy, not 13:17 Or sighinggroaning; for this would be unhelpful for you.Ezk 33:7; Mat 25:13; Act 20:31; 1Co 4:1

Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves honorably in all things. Act 23:1; Rom 15:30And I urge you all the more to do this, so that I may be restored to you more quickly.
