Žena pomazává Ježíše drahocennou mastí

Dva dny před židovskými Velikonocemi byl Ježíš v Betanii hostem u Šimona, zvaného Malomocný. Právě byli u stolu, když do domu přišla žena s alabastrovou nádobkou drahocenného vonného oleje z pravého nardu. Otevřela ji a olej vylila na Ježíšovu hlavu.

Některým se to zdálo přehnané a říkali si mezi sebou: „K čemu takové plýtvání? Vždyť ten olej měl cenu přes tři sta denárů. Mohli jsme ho prodat a výtěžek rozdat chudým.“ Vyčetli to i té ženě.

Ale Ježíš se jí ujal: „Nechte ji. Proč jí kazíte radost? Vždyť ona to myslí dobře.

B21 1Bylo to dva dny před Velikonocemi a Svátkem nekvašených chlebů.
BKR 1Po dvou pak dnech byl hod beránka a přesnic; i hledali přední kněží a zákoníci, kterak by jej lstivě jmouce, zamordovali. 2Ale pravili: Ne v svátek, aby snad nebyl rozbroj v lidu. 8Ona což mohla, to učinila; předešlať jest, aby těla mého pomazala ku pohřebu. 9Amen pravím vám: Kdežkoli bude kázáno toto evangelium po všem světě, také i to, což učinila tato, bude vypravováno na památku její.

KJV (66 books) 1After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death. 2But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people. 3And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head. 4And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made? 5For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her. 6And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me. 7For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always. 8She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying. 9Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

AFINT (Exp US) 1Two days remained until Passover and the Unleavened Bread festival. Chief priests and scribes were scheming about how to arrest Jesus secretly and execute Him. 2They agreed, “We must not act during the festival, or the people might riot.” 3While Jesus dined at Simon the leper’s house in Bethany, a woman arrived carrying an alabaster jar filled with expensive pure nard perfume. She broke the jar’s seal and poured the perfume over Jesus’ head. 4Some guests reacted indignantly, muttering, “What waste! 5This perfume could have sold for over three hundred denarii—nearly a year’s wages—and the proceeds distributed to the poor.” They rebuked her harshly. 6Jesus intervened: “Leave her alone. Why are you troubling her? She has performed a beautiful deed for Me. 7The poor remain with you constantly, and you can help them whenever you choose. But I will not remain with you much longer. 8She has done what she could—she has anointed My body in preparation for burial. 9I tell you truthfully: Wherever the gospel is proclaimed worldwide, people will remember and recount her deed.”

Why are you causing trouble for her? She has performed a noble act for Me. 7For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you choose, you can do good for them; but you do not always have Me. 8She has done what she could; she has anointed My body in advance for the burial. 9And truly, I say to you, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be spoken of in memory of her.”

OJB 1Now it was two days before Pesach, the Chag HaMatzot. And the Rashei Hakohanim and the Sofrim were seeking how they might by ormah (cunning) do away with Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach. 2For they were saying, Not at the Chag, for fear that a riot break out among the am haaretz. 3And he was in Beit-Anyah at the bais of Shim'on the leper, reclining at tish, and an isha (woman) came, having an alabaster flask of costly perfume, pure nard, and having broken open the alabaster flask, she poured [it on] the head of Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach. 4Now some were there who in ka'as (anger) said to one another, For what reason has this waste of ointment taken place? 5For this was able to be sold for more than three hundred denarii and to be given to the aniyim. And they were reproaching her. 6But Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach said, Leave her alone. Why are you bringing about difficulty for the isha? Has she not performed one of the Gemilut Chasadim on me? 7For always the aniyim you have with you, and when you wish you are able to do ma'asim tovim for them, but me you do not always have. 8With what she had she did all she could. She prepared ahead of time to anoint my basar for the kevurah (burial). 9And, omein, I say to you, wherever the Besuras HaGeulah is proclaimed in kol haaretz, also what this isha did will be spoken in her memory.

T4T 1It was only two days before the people ◄celebrated/started to celebrate► for one week the festival which they called Passover. During those days they also celebrated the festival of ◄Unleavened Bread/eating bread that had no yeast in it►. The chief priests and the men who taught the Jewish laws were planning how they could seize Jesus secretly. They wanted to accuse him in front of the Roman authorities so that they would execute him. 2But they were saying to one another, “We must not do it during the celebration, because, if we do it then, the people will be very angry with us and riot!” 3Jesus was at Bethany town in the house of Simon, whom Jesus had healed from leprosy. While they were eating, a woman came to him. She was carrying a stone jar that contained expensive fragrant perfume called nard. She opened the jar and then she poured the perfume on Jesus’ head. 4One of the people who were present became angry and said to the others, “◄It is terrible that she wasted that perfume!/Why did she waste that perfume?► [RHQ] 5It could have been sold {We could have sold it} for ◄a huge amount of money/an amount of money for which a person works for a year►, and then the money could have been given {we could have given the money} to poor people!” So he rebuked her. 6But Jesus said, “Stop scolding her! She has done to me what I consider to be very appropriate/delightful. So ◄you should not bother her!/why do you bother her?► [RHQ] 7You will always have poor people among you. So you can help them whenever you want to. But I will not be here among you much longer. So it is good for her to show now that she appreciates me. 8It is appropriate that she has done what she was able to do. It is as if she knew that I was going to die soon and has anointed my body for their burying it. 9I will tell you this: Wherever the good message about me is preached {people preach the good message} throughout the world, what she has done will be told {people will tell others what she has done to me}, and as a result people will remember her.”
