Lam Lamentations, chapter Book of Lamentations, chapter 1
People have heard us while we groaned,
but no one came to comfort us.
Yahweh, you caused us to experience this disaster,
and our enemies are happy to see what you have done to us.
But cause it soon to be the time that you have promised,
when our enemies will suffer like we have suffered!Lam 1:16; Jer 49:12

Každý slyší mé sténání, nikdo mě ale netěší. Všichni mí nepřátelé slyší o mém neštěstí a jásají nad tím, co jsi dopustil. Kéž už přivedeš ten vyhlášený den, kdy je postihne to, co mě!
BKR
Slýchajíť, že já vzdychám, ale není žádného, kdo by mne potěšil. Všickni nepřátelé moji slyšíce o mých bídách, radují se, že jsi to učinil, a přivedl den předohlášený, ale budouť mně podobní.
