Als Mose dies den Israeliten verkündigt hatte, übergaben ihm alle ihre Fürsten, Stamm für Stamm, jeder Fürst einen Stab, zusammen zwölf Stäbe, und der Stab Aarons war mit unter ihren Stäben.
