Then took Yochanan [Yehovah has graced] the son of Kareach [bald], and all the captains of the forces that [were] with him, all the remnant of the people whom he had recovered from Yishma’el [God will hear] the son of N’tanyah [given of Yehovah], from Mitzpah [watchtower], after [that] he had slain G’dalyahu [Yehovah is great] the son of Achikam [my brother has arisen], [even] mighty men of war, and the women, and the children, and the eunuchs, whom he had brought again from Giv’on [Hill City]:
