Diodati ²⁸Ma vi è un Dio in cielo, che rivela i segreti, ed ha fatto assapere al re Nebucadnesar quello che deve avvenire nella fine de' tempi. Il tuo sogno, e le visioni del tuo capo, in sul tuo letto, erano queste: ²⁹O re, de' pensieri ti son saliti sopra il tuo letto, che cosa avverrebbe da questo tempo innanzi, e colui che rivela i segreti ti ha fatto assapere ciò che deve avvenire. ³⁰Ora, quant'è a me, questo segreto mi è stato rivelato, non per sapienza, che sia in me sopra tutti i viventi; ma acciocchè l'interpretazione ne sia dichiarata al re, e che tu intenda i pensieri del cuor tuo.
