Sodann ließ er Ahasjahu suchen, und man fing ihn, während er sich zu Samaria versteckt hielt. Da brachten sie ihn zu Jehu und töteten ihn. Alsdann aber begruben sie ihn; denn sie sprachen: es ist der Sohn Josaphats, der von ganzem Herzen zu Jahwe hielt! Es war aber vom Hause Ahasjahus niemand mehr vorhanden, der imstande gewesen wäre, die Königswürde zu übernehmen.2Kön 9:27
