Luther Alle Menschen sind Narren mit ihrer Kunst, und alle Goldschmiede bestehen mit Schanden mit ihren Bildern; denn ihre Götzen sind Trügerei und haben kein Leben.

ELO (modernisiert) dumm wird jeder Mensch, ohne Erkenntnis; beschämt wird jeder Goldschmied über das Götzenbild; denn sein gegossenes Bild ist Lüge, und kein Geist ist in ihnen.
