Isa Isaiah, chapter Book of Isaiah, chapter 28
Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Efrayim [Doubly Fruitful], whose glorious beauty [is] a fading flower, which [are] on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!
Behold, the Lord has a mighty and strong one, [which] as a tempest of hail [and] a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.2Ki 17:3
The crown of pride, the drunkards of Efrayim [Doubly Fruitful], shall be trampled under feet:Dan 7:7; Mic 7:10
And the glorious beauty, which [is] on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, [and] as the hasty fruit before the summer; which [when] he that looks upon it sees, while it is yet in his hand he eats it up.Isa 1:30
In that day shall the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) Tz’va’ot [of the Heavenly Armies] be for a Crown of Glory, and for a Diadem (royal headband worn by Eastern kings) of beauty, unto the residue (part that remains, the rest) of his people,Pro 4:9; Isa 62:3; Ezk 16:12
And for a spirit of judgment to him that sits in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.
But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallow (to approve, commend, accept)ed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble [in] judgment.Pro 20:1; Hos 4:11; Hos 9:7
For all tables are full of vomit [and] filthiness, [so that there is] no place [clean].
Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? [them that are] weaned from the milk, [and] drawn from the breasts.
For precept [must be] upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little:Isa 42:20
For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.1Co 14:21
To whom he said, This [is] the rest [which] you2f may cause the weary to rest; and this [is] the refreshing: yet they would not hear.Mat 11:28
But the word of the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken captive.Isa 8:15
For this reason hear the word of the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), you2f scornful men, that rule this people which [is] in Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace].Act 13:40
Because you2f have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:Jer 5:12; Isa 29:15
Therefore thus says the Lord-Adonai [Greatest Above All Things] GOD-Yehōvih (THE FATHER), Behold, I lay in Tziyon [parched place] for a Foundation a Stone, a tried stone, a precious corner [stone], a sure Foundation: he that believeth shall not be disturbed.Psa 118:22; Isa 8:14; Mat 21:42; Mrk 12:10; Luk 20:17; Act 4:11; 1Pe 2:7; Rom 9:33
Justice also will I lay as the plumbline, and righteousness to the level: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then you2f shall be trampled down by it.Isa 28:15; Mat 7:27
From the time that it goes forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a anguish only [to] understand the report.Mat 6:13
For the bed is shorter than that [a man] can stretch himself [on it]: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself [in it].
For the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) shall rise up as [in] Mount P’ratzim [breaches], he shall be exceedingly angry as [in] the valley of Giv’on [Hill City], that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.2Sa 5:20; 1Ch 14:11; Jos 10:12
Now therefore be you2f not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord-Adonai [Greatest Above All Things] GOD-Yehōvih (THE FATHER) Ts’va’ot [of the Heavenly Armies] a consumption (diseae that eats the body; destruction), even determined upon the whole earth.Isa 10:23
Give you2f ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.Isa 34:1
Does the plowman plow all day to sow? does he open and break the clods of his ground?
When he has made plain the face thereof, does he not cast abroad the fitches (a kind of grain used for seasoning), and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the rye in their place?
For his God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] does instruct him to discretion, [and] does teach him.
For the fitches (a kind of grain used for seasoning) are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches (a kind of grain used for seasoning) are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod.Isa 25:10
Bread [corn] is bruised; because he will not ever be threshing it, nor break [it with] the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it [with] his horsemen.
This also comes forth from the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) Tz’va’ot [of the Heavenly Armies], [which] is wonderful in counsel, [and] excellent in working.Isa 55:8; Jer 32:19
