Där det är en död kropp, där samlas örnarna (gamarna).” [Detta ordspråk är baserat på Job 39:29-33, poängen är att man på långt håll kan se örnar, eller gamar som ordet också kan betyda, cirkla runt sitt byte. När Jesus kommer tillbaka kommer man att se det på långt håll och det blir uppenbart. Versen innan använder liknelsen med en blixt som är synlig för alla, se vers 27. Bilden av ett kadaver talar också om död och svåra tider, vilket kännetecknar vedermödans slut. Den döda kroppen kan också vara en bild på Jesus och örnarna, hans efterföljare som samlas kring honom. Jesus själv använder liknande bildspråk tidigare, se Joh 6:49.] [Jesus går nu tillbaka till den andra frågan om tecknen före hans andra tillkommelse. Den dagen då Jesus kommer tillbaka för att upprätta sitt rike på jorden kommer inte att gå någon obemärkt förbi.
