Psa Psalms, psalm Book of Psalms, psalm 62
For the Leader; for Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. Only for God doth my soul wait in stillness; from Him cometh my salvation. Psa 37:7He only is my rock and my salvation, my high tower, I shall not be greatly moved. Psa 18:2How long will ye set upon a man, that ye may slay him, all of you, as a leaning wall, a tottering fence? Isa 30:13They only devise to thrust him down from his height, delighting in lies; they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah Psa 28:3; Jer 9:8Only for God wait thou in stillness, my soul; for from Him cometh my hope. He only is my rock and my salvation, my high tower, I shall not be moved. 2Ch 25:8Upon God resteth my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in Him at all times, ye people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah Psa 4:5; 1Sa 1:15; Job 30:16Men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie; if they be laid in the balances, they are together lighter than vanity. Psa 39:5; Isa 40:23; Dan 4:35Trust not in oppression, and put not vain hope in robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart thereon. God hath spoken once, twice have I heard this: that strength belongeth unto God; Also unto Thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy; for Thou renderest to every man according to his work.Job 34:11; Pro 24:12; Jer 32:19; Ezk 33:20
