Vlastně předem ošetřila moje tělo, jako se to dělá před pohřbem. Poslyšte, co vám teď řeknu: Kdekoliv po světě se bude mluvit o mně, tam se také bude připomínat tento její čin.“ Mezitím se radili velekněží a učitelé zákona, jak by Ježíše nenápadně zatkli a odstranili. Usnesli se: „Nesmíme to udělat o svátcích, aby nevznikly nepokoje, když je v Jeruzalémě mnoho poutníků.“
