B21 3Bez otce a matky, bez rodokmenu, bez narození a úmrtí, podoben Božímu Synu zůstává knězem navždycky.

KJV (66 books) 3Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. 4Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils. 5And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham: 6But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises. 7And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better. 8And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth. 9And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham. 10For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
AFINT (Exp US) 3He appears without a recorded father, without a recorded mother, and without genealogy, having neither a documented beginning of days nor an end of life. In this way he resembles the Son of God and continues as a priest forever. 4Now observe this man’s greatness: even patriarch Abraham gave him a tenth of the choicest plunder. 5Now those who are Levi’s descendants and receive the priestly office possess a commandment according to the Law to collect tithes from the people, meaning from their brothers, though these also descended from Abraham. 6But this one whose ancestry is not traced from them collected tithes from Abraham and blessed the one possessing the promises. 7And indisputably, the inferior receives blessing from the superior. 8In one instance, mortal men receive tithes; in the other instance, one receives them of whom it is testified that he lives. 9And, one might say, through Abraham even Levi, who receives tithes, has paid tithes, 10for he still remained in his ancestor’s body when Melchizedek encountered him.
AFINT (Lit US) 3without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but bearing a resemblance to the Son of God—remains a priest perpetually. 4Now consider how great this one was, to whom Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth of the spoils! 5And indeed, those of the sons of Levi, who receive the priestly office have a commandment to take a tenth from the people according to the Law, that is, from their brothers, although they are descended from Abraham. 6But the one whose genealogy is not traced from them took a tenth from Abraham and pronounced a blessing on the one who had the promises. 7And without any dispute, the lesser is blessed by the greater. 8And in this instance, men who die receive tithes, but in that instance, it is attested that he lives on. 9And, so to speak, through Abraham, even Levi, who received tithes, has paid tithes, 10for he was still in the loins of his father when Melchizedek met him.
ASV 3without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like unto the Son of God), abideth a priest continually. 4Now consider how great this man was, unto whom Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth out of the chief spoils. 5And they indeed of the sons of Levi that receive the priest’s office have commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though these have come out of the loins of Abraham: 6but he whose genealogy is not counted from them hath taken tithes of Abraham, and hath blessed him that hath the promises. 7But without any dispute the less is blessed of the better. 8And here men that die receive tithes; but there one, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth. 9And, so to say, through Abraham even Levi, who receiveth tithes, hath paid tithes; 10for he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchizedek met him.
BSB 3Without father or mother or genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, like the Son of God, he remains a priest for all time. 4Consider how great Melchizedek was: Even the patriarch Abraham gave him a tenth of the plunder. 5Now the law commands the sons of Levi who become priests to collect a tenth from the people — that is, from their brothers — though they too are descended from Abraham. 6But Melchizedek, who did not trace his descent from Levi, collected a tenth from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises. 7And indisputably, the lesser is blessed by the greater. 8In the case of the Levites, mortal men collect the tenth; but in the case of Melchizedek, it is affirmed that he lives on. 9And so to speak, Levi, who collects the tenth, paid the tenth through Abraham. 10For when Melchizedek met Abraham, Levi was still in the loin of his ancestor.
DRA 3Without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but likened unto the Son of God, continueth a priest for ever. 4Now consider how great this man is, to whom also Abraham the patriarch gave tithes out of the principal things. 5And indeed they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is to say, of their brethren: though they themselves also came out of the loins of Abraham. 6But he, whose pedigree is not numbered among them, received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises. 7And without all contradiction, that which is less, is blessed by the better. 8And here indeed, men that die, receive thithes: but there he hath witness, that he liveth. 9And (as it may be said) even Levi who received tithes, paid tithes in Abraham: 10For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedech met him.
EMTV 3without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but having been made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually. 4But observe how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils. 5And indeed those who are of the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have a commandment to collect tithes from the people according to the law, that is, from their brothers, though they have come from the loins of Abraham; 6but the one not tracing his descent from them has received tithes from Abraham, and he has blessed the one having the promises. 7Now without any contradiction the lesser is blessed by the better. 8And here on the one hand mortal men receive tithes, but there on the other he receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives. 9Even Levi, who receives tithes, has paid tithes through Abraham, so to speak, 10for he was still in the loins of his father when Melchizedek met him.
FBV 3We don't have any information about his father or his mother or his family tree. We don't know when he was born or when he died. Like the Son of God he continues as a priest forever. 4Think how great this man was for Abraham the patriarch to give him a tithe of what was won in battle. 5Yes, the sons of Levi who are priests were commanded by the law to receive a tithe from the people, their brothers and sisters, who are descended from Abraham. 6But Melchizedek who doesn't share their ancestry received tithes from Abraham, and blessed the one who had God's promises. 7There's no argument that the lesser person is blessed by the one who is greater. 8In the one case tithes are received by men who die, but in the other by one who is said to be living. 9So you could say that Levi, the one who receives tithes, has paid tithes through being a descendant of Abraham, 10for he was yet to be born from his father when Melchizedek met Abraham.
GNV 3Without father, without mother, without kinred, and hath neither beginning of his dayes, neither ende of life: but is likened vnto the Sonne of God, and continueth a Priest for euer. 4Nowe consider how great this man was, vnto whome euen the Patriarke Abraham gaue the tithe of the spoyles. 5For verely they which are the childre of Leui, which receiue the office of the Priesthode, haue a commandement to take, according to the Law, tithes of the people (that is, of their bethren) though they came out of ye loynes of Abraham. 6But he whose kindred is not couted among them, receiued tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises. 7And without all contradiction the lesse is blessed of the greater. 8And here men that die, receiue tithes: but there he receiueth them, of whome it is witnessed, that he liueth. 9And to say as the thing is, Leui also which receiueth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham. 10For hee was yet in the loynes of his father Abraham, when Melchi-sedec met him.
LSV 3without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, and having been like the Son of God, remains a priest continually. 4And see how great this one [is], to whom Abraham the patriarch also gave a tenth out of the best of the spoils, 5and those, indeed, out of the sons of Levi receiving the priesthood, have a command to take tithes from the people according to the Law, that is, their brothers, even though they came forth out of the loins of Abraham; 6and he who was not reckoned by genealogy of them, received tithes from Abraham, and he has blessed him having the promises, 7and apart from all controversy, the less is blessed by the better— 8and here, indeed, men who die receive tithes, and there [he] who is testified to that he was living, 9and so to speak, through Abraham even Levi who is receiving tithes, has paid tithes, 10for he was yet in the loins of the father when Melchizedek met him.
NASB 3Without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, he remains a priest perpetually. 4Now observe how great this man was to whom Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth of the choicest spoils. 5And those indeed of the sons of Levi who receive the priest’s office have a commandment in the Law to collect a tenth from the people, that is, from their countrymen, although they are descended from Abraham. 6But the one whose genealogy is not traced from them collected a tenth from Abraham and blessed the one who had the promises. 7But without any dispute the lesser person is blessed by the greater. 8In this case mortal men receive tithes, but in that case one receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives on. 9And, so to speak, through Abraham even Levi, who received tithes, has paid tithes, 10for he was still in the loins of his forefather when Melchizedek met him. NIV (US) 3Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, resembling the Son of God, he remains a priest forever. 4Just think how great he was: Even the patriarch Abraham gave him a tenth of the plunder! 5Now the law requires the descendants of Levi who become priests to collect a tenth from the people—that is, from their fellow Israelites—even though they also are descended from Abraham. 6This man, however, did not trace his descent from Levi, yet he collected a tenth from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises. 7And without doubt the lesser is blessed by the greater. 8In the one case, the tenth is collected by people who die; but in the other case, by him who is declared to be living. 9One might even say that Levi, who collects the tenth, paid the tenth through Abraham, 10because when Melchizedek met Abraham, Levi was still in the body of his ancestor.

NMV 3Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God-The Father; abides a priest continually. 4Now consider how great this man [was], unto whom even the patriarch Avraham [Exalted Father] gave the tenth of the spoils. 5And truly they that are of the sons of Levi (Levite) [Adhesion, Joiner], who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the waist of Avraham [Exalted Father]: 6But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Avraham [Exalted Father], and Blessed (Favored by God; happy; prosperous) him that had the promises. 7And without all contradiction the less is Blessed (Favored by God; happy; prosperous) of the better. 8And here men that die receive tithes; but there he [receives them], of whom it is witnessed that he lives. 9And as I may so say, Levi (Levite) [Adhesion, Joiner] also, who receives tithes, payed tithes in Avraham [Exalted Father]. 10For he was yet in the waist of his father, when Malki-Tzedek [king of righteousness] met him.
OJB 3Without Av, without Em, without Yichus, having neither a techillah (beginning) leyamim (to days) of him nor a Ketz HaChayyim, but resembling the Zun fun der Oybershter, he remains a “kohen perpetually.” 4Now consider how great among the Gedolim this one was to whom also Avraham Avinu gave from his booty a ma'aser (tithe). 5And the ones of the Bnei Levi have received the Kehunah (Priesthood) and they have a mitzvah to collect the ma'aser (tithe) from the Am Brit, and they have this mitzvah according to the Torah, that is, to collect from their achim, though these also are descended from the loins of Avraham Avinu. 6But, this man, though not tracing his descent from them, has received ma'aser (tithe) from Avraham Avinu and has given a bracha to the one having the havtachot (promises). 7Now it is beyond all argument that the greater gives a bracha to the lesser. 8Notice, in one case, ma'aser are received by mortal men; in the other case, ma'aser are received by one of whom we have solemn eidus (testimony) that hu Chai (he lives!). 9One could even go so far as to say that even Levi, who receives ma'aser, has paid ma'aser through Avraham Avinu, 10For Levi was still in the loins of his ancestor Avraham when Malki-Tzedek met Avraham Avinu.
TCENT 3He is without father, without mother, and without genealogy; there is no beginning to his days or end to his life. But resembling the Son of God, he remains a priest forever. 4Consider how great this man must be, that even Abraham the patriarch gave him a tenth of the spoils. 5Now the law commands the sons of Levi who receive the priestly office to collect tithes from the people, that is, their brothers, even though their brothers are also descended from Abraham. 6But Melchizedek, who was not among the descendants of Levi, received a tithe from Abraham. He also blessed Abraham, who had received the promises. 7It is beyond all dispute that the inferior is blessed by the superior. 8In the one case, tithes are received by mortal men, but in the other case, they are received by one who is attested to be living. 9One might even say that Levi himself, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham. 10For Levi was still in the loins of his ancestor Abraham when Melchizedek met him.
T4T 3In the Scriptures there is no record of who his father was, nor is there any record of who his mother was, nor is there any record of who his ancestors were. There is no record of when he was born, nor is there any record of when he died. For these reasons, it is as though he continues to be a priest forever, and for this reason he is like God’s Son. 4You can realize how great this man Melchizedek was from the fact that Abraham, our famous ancestor, gave him ◄a tithe/one tenth► of the spoils from the battle. 5According to the laws God gave Moses, the descendants of Abraham’s great-grandson Levi, who were priests, should take tithes from God’s people who were their relatives, even though those people also were Abraham’s descendants. 6But this man Melchizedek, who was not among the descendants of Levi, took tithes from Abraham. He also asked God to bless Abraham, the man to whom God promised many descendants. 7We know for certain that it is the more important people who ask God to bless the less important people. And Melchizedek blessed Abraham. So we conclude that Melchizedek was greater than Abraham. 8In the case of the priests who are descendants of Levi, men who some day will die receive tithes. But in the case of Melchizedek it is as if God testifies that he was still living, since there is no record in Scriptures about his death. 9And it was as though Levi himself, and all the priests descended from him—who received tithes from the people—paid tithes to Melchizedek. And when Abraham paid tithes, it was as though Levi and all the priests descended from him acknowledged that the work Melchizedek did as a priest was greater than the work Levi did, 10since the sperm from which all those priests were eventually born was still in Abraham’s body [EUP] when Melchizedek met Abraham.
