And in this manner, I made it my ambition to preach the gospel not where Christ had already been named and was known, so that I would not be building on another person’s foundation of ministry.
It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.
OJBThus making it my hasagos (aspiration) to preach the Besuras HaGeulah where Moshiach has not been named, lest I build on anotherʼs yesod (foundation).
TCENTAnd in this way I aspire to preach the gospel where the name of Christ has not been heard, so that I do not build upon another's foundation,
T4TAs I proclaim that message, I am always eagerly trying to proclaim it in places where people have not already heard about Christ. I do that in order that as I work for God I might not be continuing the work for him that someone else already started [MET]. I do not want to be like a man who builds a house on someone else’s foundation.
