Rom 3:3; Heb 11:18; Gal 4:28

KJV (66 books) 6Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. 9For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son.
AFINT (Exp US) 6But it is not as though God’s word and promise has failed or fallen to the ground without fulfillment. For not all who are physically descended from Israel are truly part of the spiritual Israel—the true people of God. 7Nor are all who are Abraham’s physical offspring automatically his true spiritual children, but rather, “In Isaac”—through the line of promise, not Ishmael—“your offspring will be named.” 8That is, it is not the children born by natural descent—the children of the flesh—who are the true children of God, but rather the children born according to God’s promise who are counted and reckoned as Abraham’s true offspring. 9For this is the word of promise that God spoke: “At the appointed time I will come, and Sarah will have a son.”
AFINT (Exp UK) 6But it is not as though God’s word and promise has failed or fallen to the ground without fulfilment.
AFINT (Lit US) 6But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all the ones who are descended from Israel are Israel. 7Nor are they all children because they are offspring of Abraham, but “In Isaac will your offspring be called.” 8That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are considered as offspring. 9For the word of the promise is this: “At this time I will come, and Sarah will have a son.”
ASV 6But it is not as though the word of God hath come to nought. For they are not all Israel, that are of Israel: 7neither, because they are Abraham’s seed, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8That is, it is not the children of the flesh that are children of God; but the children of the promise are reckoned for a seed. 9For this is a word of promise, According to this season will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.
BSB 6It is not as though God’s word has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. 7Nor because they are Abraham’s descendants are they all his children. On the contrary, “Through Isaac your offspring will be reckoned.” 8So it is not the children of the flesh who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as offspring. 9For this is what the promise stated: “At the appointed time I will return, and Sarah will have a son.”
DRA 6Not as though the word of God hath miscarried. For all are not Israelites that are of Israel: 7Neither are all they that are the seed of Abraham, children; but in Isaac shall thy seed be called: 8That is to say, not they that are the children of the flesh, are the children of God; buy they, that are the children of the promise, are accounted for the seed. 9For this is the word of promise: According to this time will I come; and Sara shall have a son.
EMTV 6But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all those of Israel are of Israel, 7nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, “In Isaac your descendants shall be called.” 8That is, those who are the children of the flesh are not the children of God; but it is the children of the promise that are regarded as descendants. 9For this is the word of promise: “At this time I will come and Sarah shall have a son.”
FBV 6It's not that God's promise has failed. For not every Israelite is a true Israelite, 7and not all those who are descended from Abraham are his true children. For Scripture says, “Your descendants will be counted through Isaac,” 8so it's not Abraham's actual children who are counted as God's children, but only those children of God's promise who are considered his true descendants. 9This is what the promise was: “I will return next year and Sarah will have a son.”
GNV 6Notwithstanding it can not bee that the worde of God should take none effect: for all they are not Israel, which are of Israel: 7Neither are they all children, because they are the seede of Abraham: but, In Isaac shall thy seede be called: 8That is, they which are the children of the flesh, are not the children of God: but the children of the promise, are counted for the seede. 9For this is a worde of promise, In this same time wil I come, and Sara shall haue a sonne.
LSV 6And it is not possible that the word of God has failed; for not all who [are] of Israel are these of Israel; 7nor because they are seed of Abraham [are] all children, but, “in Isaac will a seed be called to you”; 8that is, the children of the flesh—these [are] not children of God; but the children of the promise are reckoned for seed; 9for the word of promise [is] this: “According to this time I will come, and there will be to Sarah a son.”
NASB 6But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For they are not all Israel who are descended from Israel; 7nor are they all children because they are Abraham’s descendants, but: “through Isaac your descendants shall be named.” 8That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are regarded as descendants. 9For this is the word of promise: “At this time I will come, and Sarah will have a son.” NASB 2020
NIV (US) 6It is not as though God’s word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. 7Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. On the contrary, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.” 8In other words, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring. 9For this was how the promise was stated: “At the appointed time I will return, and Sarah will have a son.”
NMV 6Not as though the word of God-The Father has taken none effect. For they [are] not all Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heal Of God], which are of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heal Of God]: 7Neither, because they are the seed of Avraham [Exalted Father], [are they] all children: but, In Yitz’khak [Laughter] shall youri seed be called. 8That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these [are] not the children of God-The Father: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. 9For this [is] the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah [princess] shall have a son.
OJB 6But it is not as though the Dvar Hashem has failed. For not all those descended from Yisroel are truly redeemed Yisroel [of the eschatological Geulah Redemption]. 7Nor is it as though all the banim of K'lal Yisroel are the ZERA of Avraham Avinu, but [as it is written], BEYITZCHAK YIKARE L'CHA ZERA (In Yitzchak shall your seed be called, named, summoned). 8That is, it is not the Bnei habasar (old humanity without hitkhadshut) who are the Bnei HaElohim (children of G-d) but the Bnei HaHavtachah (children of the promise) who are reckoned as ZERA (seed, children, including the right of the heir in relation to the father). 9For this word is one of havtachah (promise): KA'ET SHOV ASHUV UL'SARAH BEN (About this time I will come and Sarah shall have a son).
RV 6But it is not as though the word of God hath come to nought. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7neither, because they are Abraham’s seed, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8That is, it is not the children of the flesh that are children of God; but the children of the promise are reckoned for a seed. 9For this is a word of promise, According to this season will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.
TCENT 6It is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all Israelites truly belong to Israel, 7and not all of Abraham's children are his true descendants, but, “Through Isaac yoʋr descendants will be counted.” 8That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God; rather, the children of the promise are counted as descendants. 9For this is what God promised: “About this time next year I will come, and Sarah will have a son.”
T4T 6God promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, that their descendants would all inherit his blessings. But although most of my fellow Israelites have rejected Christ, that does not prove that God has failed to do the things that he promised, because it is not all who are descended from Jacob and who call themselves the people of Israel whom God considers to be truly his people. 7And it is also not all of Abraham’s natural descendants that God considers to be his people. Instead, God considers only some of them to be Abraham’s children. This agrees with what God told Abraham: “It is Isaac, not any of your(sg) other sons, whom I will consider to be the true father of your descendants.” 8That means that it is not all the natural-born descendants of Abraham whom God considers as his children. Instead, it is those who believed what God promised whom he considers to be his children. 9You know that what God promised to Abraham was this: “About this time next year Sarah your wife will bear a son as a result of my enabling [MTY] her to do so.” So Abraham knew that it was not through Ishmael, the son that he already had, that God would fulfill what he had promised him (OR, that his true descendants would come).
WEB (US) 6But it is not as though the word of God has come to nothing. For they are not all Israel that are of Israel. 7Neither, because they are Abraham’s offspring, are they all children. But, “your offspring will be accounted as from Isaac.” 8That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as heirs. 9For this is a word of promise: “At the appointed time I will come, and Sarah will have a son.”
