Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.

For the Law produces God’s wrath by exposing and condemning sin, but where there is no law given, there can be no violation or transgression of that law to be charged.

For the Law works out wrath, but where there is no law, neither is there transgression.

T4T [4:14–15]
If we think that it is those who obey God’s laws who will receive what he has promised, it is useless for us to trust in him. And what he promised is worthless. Remember that it is stated in God’s law [PRS] that he will punish people who do not perfectly obey them, and remember that wherever [MTY] laws exist, people disobey them [LIT].
WEB (US)
For the law produces wrath; for where there is no law, neither is there disobedience.
Čeština
B21
Zákon přináší hněv; vždyť kde není Zákon, není přestupek.
BKR
Zákon zajisté hněv působí; nebo kdež není Zákona, tu ani přestoupení.
SNC [4:15–17]
