Odstup to.

KJV (66 books) 21Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. 22But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. 23But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
AFINT (Exp US) 21Is the Law, then, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not. For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would indeed come through the Law. 22But the Scripture has confined everything under the power of sin, so that what was promised, being based on faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe. 23Before faith came, we were held in custody under the Law, confined until the faith that was to be revealed arrived.
AFINT (Lit US) 21Is the Law, then, contrary to the promises of God? May it never be! For if a law had been given that was able to impart life, then righteousness would surely have been based on the Law. 22But the Scripture confined all things under sin, in order that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. 23But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the Law, confined for the faith that was going to be revealed.
ASV 21Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could make alive, verily righteousness would have been of the law. 22But the scripture shut up all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. 23But before faith came, we were kept in ward under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
BSB 21Is the law, then, opposed to the promises of God? Certainly not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come from the law. 22But the Scripture pronounces all things confined by sin, so that by faith in Jesus Christ the promise might be given to those who believe. 23Before this faith came, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until faith should be revealed.
DRA 21Was the law then against the promises of God? God forbid. For if there had been a law given which could give life, verily justice should have been by the law. 22But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise, by the faith of Jesus Christ, might be given to them that believe. 23But before the faith came, we were kept under the law shut up, unto that faith which was to be revealed.
EMTV 21Therefore, is the law against the promises of God? By no means! For if a law had been given which was able to give life, truly righteousness would have been by the law. 22But the Scripture has confined all under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. 23But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, having been hemmed in for the faith which was to be revealed.
FBV 21So does the law work against God's promises? Of course not! For if there was a law that could give life, then we could be made right by keeping it. 22But Scripture tells us that we all are prisoners of sin. The only way we can receive God's promises is by trusting in Jesus Christ. 23Before we trusted in Jesus we remained in the custody of the law until this way of trusting was revealed.
GNV 21Is the Lawe then against the promises of God? God forbid: For if there had bene a Lawe giuen which coulde haue giuen life, surely righteousnes should haue bene by the Lawe. 22But the Scripture hath concluded all vnder sinne, that the promise by the faith of Iesus Christ should be giuen to them that beleeue. 23But before faith came, we were kept vnder the Law, as vnder a garison, and shut vp vnto that faith, which should afterward be reueiled.
LSV 21[Is] the Law, then, against the promises of God? Let it not be! For if a law was given that was able to make alive, truly there would have been righteousness by law, 22but the Writing shut up the whole under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ may be given to those believing. 23And before the coming of faith, we were being kept under law, shut up to the faith about to be revealed,
NIV (US) 21Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law. 22But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe. 23Before the coming of this faith, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed.
NMV 21[Is] the law then against the promises of God-The Father? May it not be: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness should have been by the law. 22But the scripture has concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Yeshua [God is Salvation] Moshiach [Messiah] might be given to them that believe. 23But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
OJB 21Is the Torah, mimeila (consequently, as a result), against the havtachot (promises) of Hashem? Chas v'Shalom (G-d forbid)! For if Gezetz had been given that had the ko'ach (power) to affect hitkhadshut (regeneration), then to be YITZDAK IM HASHEM (justified with G-d) would indeed have been based on ma'asim of Gezetz. 22But the Kitvei HaKodesh consigned all things under HaChet (Sin), that the havtachah (promise) might be given by emunah in Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach Yehoshua to the ma'aminim. 23But before Emunah came, we were being held in custody, being confined and guarded for the about-to-be-revealed Emunah.
RV 21Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could make alive, verily righteousness would have been of the law. 22Howbeit the scripture hath shut up all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. 23But before faith came, we were kept in ward under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
TCENT 21Is the law then opposed to the promises of God? Certainly not! For if a law had been given that was able to give life, truly righteousness would have come through the law. 22But the Scripture has confined all under sin, so that the promise might be given on the basis of faith in Jesus Christ to those who believe. 23Now before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, confined until the faith that was to come would be revealed.
T4T 21If someone should ask, “When God gave his laws to Moses long after he told Abraham what he was promising to give to him, was he changing his mind?” I would reply that God certainly did not change his mind when he did that! If God had given a law that could enable people to live eternally, then it actually would be because of people obeying that law that God would erase the record of their sins. 22But instead, what we read in the Scriptures [PRS] is that God caused all people to be unable to escape being punished for their sins [MET], just like people in prison are unable to escape [PRS, MET]. God did that in order that he might give what he promised to those who trust Jesus Christ, just because they trust him. 23Before God revealed the good message about trusting in Christ, the laws [PRS] that God gave to Moses were confining/imprisoning us Jews [MET], as a prisoner in jail is confined. We were unable to escape obeying those [MET] laws. This happened in order that we might believe the good message concerning Christ, the message that God would reveal later.
WEB (US) 21Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could make alive, most certainly righteousness would have been of the law. 22But the Scripture imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. 23But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, confined for the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
